At 11:02 am on November 30, 2008 Emma Jane was born weighing 1lb 2ozs and was 13 inches long. I was
only 24 weeks into my pregnancy.
I held her in my arms, she moved her fingers and arms. Unfortunately Emma's lungs were not developed
and the doctors told us that despite any efforts made by them- if she did survive, she would likely
be brain damaged. I decided to let God take over at that point.
God called his Angel back to Heaven at 11:17 am.
Emma is my second daughter, as I had my first, Kaelyn, when I was only 19. Her birth followed a
heartbreaking miscarriage at 13 weeks. I waited 8 long years to have another baby and this loss is
especially heart breaking.
My eulogy to Emma as we placed her ashes:
"Sometimes love is for a moment. Sometimes love is for a lifetime. Sometimes a moment is a lifetime.
My love for you is forever Emma. I was privileged to know you for 24 weeks of your life. God please
lift her soul up and heal this hurt left behind"
